Whats new ?

We are looking for used laptops in good working order (and why not… homeopathic programmes) which will go to good homes in East Africa. Any sewing machine lying idle in the attic could change somebody’s circumstances dramatically. It is actually not that difficult to give people a head start. Thank you!

How Can You Help

A little money goes a long way in Africa and we are thankful for donations large and small. Our costs are minimal: the team works on a voluntary basis and administration costs are small. You can be assured that your donation is used to support the health and wellbeing of the people of Tanzania and Kenya.

Help us with fundraising

Not everyone is in a position to travel abroad but if you would like to help in some way, we are always looking for volunteers to help us raise funds for the project. We would like to hear from you, so please contact us
The following are a few ideas which have worked well in the past: Bag packing in supermarkets, table quiz, coffee morning, cake sale, car boot sale, race night, mini marathon, hosting a dinner party, cookery demonstration, sponsorship cards, gigs and concerts, card tournament, treasure hunt, golfing event, bingo night, fashion show… Another possibility is to join us in September 2011 for the Zanzibar Challenge.

The people who have volunteered with Uzima have all reported the experience to be absolutely wonderful.  They loved Africa, the people and got 100% job satisfaction! In 2011 we have opportunities for EFT practitioners and homeopaths to volunteer in Tanzania and Kenya. Contact us if you have the skills and enthusiasm and are prepared for an adventure!
